Septic Tank Workshop Offered To North Fulton Residents

Released January 23, 2018 08:16 AM

Fulton County Public Works and the Cities of Alpharetta, Milton, and Roswell offer a free informational workshop for residents of North Fulton who live in homes with a septic tank. The workshop will be on Thursday, February 15, 2018.  Fulton County Public Works will host the workshop at their offices located at 11575 Maxwell Road, 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Septic tank problems can cause big issues for you and for our waterways. Many of our North Fulton streams have water quality problems related to bacteria.  Did you know that a failing septic system can also affect nearby streams?  The good news is that most septic tank problems can be prevented.  Attend the workshop and get the facts.

Topics will include:

•        Basics of how a septic tank system works

•        Do’s and don’ts on what you can put down the drain

•        Maintenance

•        When to call a professional

Our presenter will be the Fulton County Health Department.  Their agency provides permitting, technical assistance, and inspections for new systems.  We encourage you to attend if your home has a septic tank.  Written materials will be provided to keep for future reference.  We strongly encourage that you pre-register by contacting Jennifer McLaurin at or 404-612-7400.
