Fall Youth Athletic Registration Opens July 8

The City of Alpharetta Recreation and Parks Department (ARPD) will begin Priority Registration for youth soccer and lacrosse Tuesday, July 8.  This registration is for all City of Alpharetta residents as well as returning City of Milton residents.

Registration for City of Milton residents new to these programs begins Tuesday, July 15.  Open Registration begins Tuesday, July 22.

Age groups and fees vary for these programs.

Volunteer coaching opportunities may be available to qualified adults.  All potential coaching candidates must successfully complete the City’s criminal background check.  Candidates are screened to ensure adequate knowledge in the sport in which they are applying to coach.  Training opportunities may also be available.

The City’s partner youth athletic associations are also taking registration for fall athletics.  This includes Alpharetta Youth Football Association (AYFA), Alpharetta Youth Softball Association (AYSA), and Alpharetta Youth Baseball Association (AYBA).

Providing a safe and fun environment for kids to develop both on and off the field, AYFA offers tackle football, flag football and cheerleading programs for students in kindergarten through 8th grade.  Registration for football closes July 27.  To register online, please visit

AlYSA is now taking registration for fall girls softball for ages 4 to 18 years.  New this season is an increase of the multi-child discount to $25.  Registration closes August 14.  Walk-up registrations will be accepted at the evaluations on August 16.  For more details, please visit
