25th ANNUAL TASTE OF ALPHARETTA TO FEATURE 60+ RESTAURANTS LIVE MUSIC, CULINARY ARTS COMPETITION AND MORE!

Alpharetta’s Top Restaurants Compete for Top Honors on Thursday, May 7th in Downtown Alpharetta!

The 25th Annual Taste of Alpharetta on Thursday, May 7th will feature more than 60 amazing restaurants serving up their specialties for 50,000 food lovers. The City’s largest dinner party invites patrons to enjoy great food, a culinary arts competition, live music, 3 Fun Zone Areas and more in the Historic District of Downtown Alpharetta on Milton Avenue, Roswell Street, Old Roswell Street, Canton Street and Old Canton Street. The FREE admission event allows patrons to purchase food and activity tickets (10 tickets for $5) to redeem at participating restaurant booths for a wide selection of tastes ranging from $.50 - $3. per sample. Tickets can also be used in the events family-friendly Fun Zones for a variety of activities ranging from pony rides and rock climbing walls, to inflatable’s, balloon art and henna tattoos.

Taste of Alpharetta offers plenty of live music all night long. Hosted by Cadillac Jack from Kicks 101.5 FM, the Main Stage located on Milton Avenue at Roswell Street features regional performers. A second music stage located on Old Canton and sponsored by Music Matters will feature young performers from the Music Matters Rock U program. The schedule for the Main Stage is as follows:

Atlanta-based indie-alt-folk group von Grey that blends charming harmonies, stirring lyrics and inventive melodies. They have appeared on "Late Show with David Letterman," "Conan," NBC's "Rock Center with Brian Williams," and CNN's "Road Warriors.

Atlanta based swingin’ rock act that combines smooth vocals with a sound that is modern while being deeply rooted in the past.  Dixieland Jazz, ragtime and blues of the 20’s come together for a boisterous good time.

The Taste of Alpharetta’s Culinary Arts Competition will feature select restaurants competing in a variety of categories including Best Appetizer/Salad, Best Fast Casual Entrée, Best Fine Dining Entrée, Best Dessert, Best Presentation, People’s Choice  and Best Decorated Booth.  The Culinary Arts Stage will be hosted by Eric “Dutch” Van de Steeg from 92.9FM - The Game.  Culinary Judges for the 2015 Competition include Atlanta Cuisine on Tap editor, Tom Maicon; Freelance writer and author who contributes to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, Atlanta Business Chronicle, and Simply Buckhead Magazine, Helen Cauley; TV Chef, author and restaurateur Hans Rueffert; and the People’s Voice and Foodie Candice Belle Isle.  The Taste of Alpharetta Culinary Competition Awards will be presented at 8:30pm on the event’s Main Stage for the top chefs in each category and the People’s Choice Award.

The Culinary Arts Stage, located on Roswell Street, will feature select candidates in each category preparing their signature dishes live on stage.  The schedule for the Culinary Arts Competition is as follows:

The People’s Choice Award is open to all 2015 Taste of Alpharetta participating restaurants. This award will be presented based on the number of popular votes received from festival goers. Ballots will be available at the culinary competition tent through 7:00pm so stop by the Culinary Competitions Stage and place your vote!

Taste of Alpharetta offers FREE admission and is open to all ages. The event offers FREE Shuttles and Parking.
Park and Walk (no shuttle service): NEW Alpharetta City Hall Parking Deck (2 Park Plaza off South Main Street) and Milton Center (86 School Drive at Independence High School / old Milton High School).

Park and Shuttle: Wills Park Equestrian Center (on Wills Rd), Wills Park at Wacky World (on Old Milton Parkway to the right of the Alpharetta City Pool).
