Celebrate Spring Art Workshop
Crabapple Government Center/Alpharetta Arts CenterThursday, March 21, 2013 10:00 AM
Young artists age 4 to 6 years accompanied by an adult are invited to a complimentary “Celebrate Spring Art Workshop” offered by the City of Alpharetta Recreation and Parks Department. This one-hour workshop will feature a simple drawing lesson where participants work together to create a unique caterpillar, butterfly, baby chicken or flower from cut paper, markers, crayon and fabric.
The art of illustrator Rocco Baviera will be explored in this discovery-based class. Appearing larger than life, his vivid drawings combine bold shapes and vibrant colors that appeal to both kids and grown-ups. His work can be seen on everything from t-shirts to mouse pads, children's books to annual reports; websites and apps to opening film credits. His work is bright, happy, cheerful pieces with lots of character.
The workshop will take place at the Alpharetta Arts Center at Crabapple Government Center (12464 Broadwell Road) on Thursday, March 21st from 10:00am – 11:00am. Pre-registration is required due to space limitations and will be taken until capacity is reached. Call 678-297-6165 or email arts@alpharetta.ga.us to pre-register.
Visual arts classes and workshops are offered year-round at the Alpharetta Arts Center. Dates and times vary. For more information, call or email Alpharetta Recreation and Parks Department staff at 678-297-6165 or arts@alpharetta.ga.us
