Administrative variances are reviewed by Community Development staff as part of the site permitting process, and are based on a site specific hardship. A variance of up to 20% may be requested administratively. Requests for over 20% must be approved as part of a public hearing. An example of a site specific hardship would be to save a specimen tree or group of trees.
