The Alpharetta Police Department makes citizen and property safety their priority and constantly strives to improve their capabilities through ongoing inter-department and general education. Our effectiveness and efficiency in the delivery of services to our community, and our diligence in complying with every aspect of professional law enforcement policy has earned us both National and State Accreditation status from the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. (CALEA). The CALEA was formed in 1979 and sets the national standards for law enforcement policies, procedures, practices and operations.
