29th Annual Taste of Alpharetta Welcomed 45,000+ Food Lovers

Culinary Competition Winners Announced!

The 29th Annual Taste of Alpharetta on Thursday, May 2 featured more than 60 restaurants serving their specialties to over 45,000 patrons, which reflected a 50% increase in attendance.

Festival fans enjoyed a variety of new features at the 2019 event including Locally Grown, an area which showcased 16 local farms and food-focused programs and organizations. Taste of Alpharetta featured live music on three stages located throughout the event. Patrons also took advantage of the new complimentary bike valet presented by Bike Alpharetta. “It was wonderful to see the community come out to enjoy delicious food and live music on a beautiful Alpharetta evening,” said Alpharetta Council Member Jason Binder.

Taste of Alpharetta executed a new food recovery program aligned with the goal of producing the first “Taste with No Waste.” Managed by the Alpharetta Chamber of Commerce, restaurants donated 210 pounds of food to Second Helpings Atlanta which redistributes food to various Metro Atlanta social service agencies dedicated to providing food assistance to the community. “We are leading by example to build a culture of giving back to our community,” said Nancy Hoehn, Alpharetta Chamber of Commerce President and CEO. “Hopefully, we can be an example to other Chambers and Taste events to start the same initiative in their communities.”
