Applications Open For New Program To Match Live Music To Local Businesses

Released November 13, 2019 03:37 PM

The City of Alpharetta has launched a new 2020 music program to help support businesses and musicians in Alpharetta. The program is called Alpharetta Music Match which is a part of a larger ongoing strategy called Alpharetta Music Project Strategy (AMPS).

The AMPS strategy was created to give a framework for music culture in Alpharetta through live performances, educational support of all ages, exposure to all music genres, classes at the Alpharetta Arts Center, utilizing local venues, providing multiple listening opportunities and fun music engagements.

The Music Match program launched with the support of Fulton County Arts & Culture and the Alpharetta Convention and Visitors Bureau. The year-long program will feature more than forty musical performances and is looking for Music Match applicants. By completing an online application, a business can simply request a music genre. The City will match their music funds and a professional producer will then find the best musician for the business’s unique space and style.

“The City is excited to see what this upcoming year brings with Music Match. Entertainment and enterprise thrive in our city and Music Match will be a vital program that helps these two strong economic factors cultivate and grow together,” said Matthew Thomas, City of Alpharetta Economic Development Manager.

The City of Alpharetta is currently accepting 2020 applications from Alpharetta businesses; restaurants, retailers, and corporations. For an application or additional information, please contact  Meghan Vilela @ mvilela@alpharetta.ga.us
