Volunteers Sought For Great American Cleanup At Webb Bridge Park

Released February 22, 2019 02:23 PM

The City of Alpharetta is seeking volunteers for the 21st Annual Great American Cleanup, the nation’s largest community improvement program.  For this year’s effort, sponsored in part by Keep America Beautiful, volunteers will be removing an old farm structure and other debris that has accumulated on property near the entrance to Webb Bridge Park.

The cleanup event will be held on Saturday, March 2 from 9:00 AM until 12:00 PM.  Due to the nature of the cleanup, participation is limited to older teens and adults only.  For safety reasons, we cannot allow young children to participate or be on site.  It is suggested that volunteers wear long pants, long-sleeved shirts, closed-toe boots or shoes, and work gloves.

This is a rain or shine event, and refreshments will be provided.

Upon arrival at the cleanup event, volunteers should park at Webb Bridge Park, using the first parking lot to the right as they enter the park (known as the “lower soccer field parking lot).  After parking, please proceed to the registration table located at the head of the parking lot near the park entrance.
