Beautiful plants can and value to any property; but, often homeowners have questions about the proper way to achieve great looking, healthy plants in Georgia’s clay soil. The City of Alpharetta and the Alpharetta Natural Resources Commission, are pleased to host a class taught by the North Fulton Master Gardeners. This free class on how to improve your soil for your most beautiful landscape projects will be offered Wednesday, March 13, 2019 from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm. at the Alpharetta Public Works Department, 1790 Hembree Road, Alpharetta, Georgia 30009.
This new class is the foundation for our spring classes on growing and maintaining vegetables, perennials, and shrubs and roses. It provides an understanding of the science of soil and how you can improve it emphasizing sustainable methods. Topics will include the use of compost and mulch to improve and protect your soil.
