Lawncare-Workshop

Alpharetta To Host Workshop on Lawn Care

Released January 17, 2020 11:08 AM

The City of Alpharetta and the Alpharetta Natural Resources Commission, along with the UGA Cooperative Extension North Fulton Master Gardeners, will offer a workshop for homeowners on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm.  The class will be held at the Alpharetta Department of Public Works, 1790 Hembree Road, Alpharetta, Georgia 30009.

February is the ideal time to plan to treat your lawn turf - before weeds germinate. Beautiful, healthy lawns require more than simply mowing and fertilizing. Cool-season and warm-season grasses require similar activities, but at different times, to be effective. This class will cover: how cool and warm-season grasses differ and what they require: soil testing, fertilizing, weed control, aerating and watering. Even if someone else takes care of your lawn, this seminar will enable you to work with your lawn service more effectively.

This class is hosted by the City of Alpharetta and the Alpharetta Natural Resources Commission. This class is hosted by the City of Alpharetta and the Alpharetta Natural Resources Commission. Please register for this class at Eventbrite: Lawn Care For Spring and Summer or call (678) 297-6213.
