NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED REVENUE NOTES TO BE ISSUED BY THE Development Authority of Alpharetta

 

The Development Authority of Alpharetta (the “Authority”) hereby gives notice is hereby that on 3rd day of February, 2021, at 2:00 p.m., via Zoom videoconference, which videoconference can be accessed via the internet by visiting https://hklaw.zoom.us/j/93186273112 or telephonically by dialing the toll-free number (877)-853-5257, a Public Hearing will be held in accordance with Georgia law due to the COVID-19 pandemic and related emergency declaration made by Governor Kemp of the State of Georgia on April 2, 2020, as amended and supplemented.  The Public Hearing concerns the proposed issuance of revenue bonds (the “Bonds”) by the Authority in an aggregate principal amount of $13,225,000, to be used for the purpose of assisting Cognia, Inc., a Georgia not-for-profit corporation (hereinafter referred to as the “Borrower”), with (i) financing the costs of the acquisition, construction, and equipping of a certain office building and related facilities located within the City of Alpharetta at 9115 Westside Parkway, Alpharetta, Fulton County, Georgia (the “2010 Project”) by refunding the Development Authority of Fulton County Revenue Bonds (Advance Education, Inc. Project) Series 2010 (the “Series 2010 Bonds”), and (ii) financing the costs of the construction, and equipping of an expansion of the Borrower’s office building constituting the 2010 Project (the “2018 Project”) by refunding the Development Authority of Fulton County Revenue Bonds (Advance Education, Inc. Expansion Project) Series 2018 (the “Series 2018 Bonds”) (together, the “Project”).  The Project will be owned by the Borrower.  The Bonds will be issued as qualified 501(c)(3) Bonds under Section 145 of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended.  The hearing will be held before a hearing officer designated by the Authority, and may be continued or adjourned.

     

Further information regarding the proposed Bonds and the proposed facility financed are of public record in the office of the Development Authority of Alpharetta.

Any interested party having views on the proposed issuance of the Bonds or the nature or location of the proposed project may be heard at such public hearing.
