Anna DeStefano shares what she’s learned from over 20 years as a professional artist—about crafting your unique voice into what you create, and then sharing your work with the world.
As a visual artist, she’s connected with private clients, galleries, interior designers, and commercial art consultants who’ve fallen in love with the stories she tells through her photography. She’s excited to discuss how the “success” of YOUR work has more to do with your unique creative voice than it does with how perfectly you capture an image. And it takes more than a little courage and tenacity to sell what you’ve created. Right?
Images that win or place in competitions aren’t always the ones that connect most powerfully. Quality is key. But so is filling an image with what thrills you about the subject matter, and then conveying that emotion to viewers. Viewers beyond social media, whom you’ll reach by getting comfortable with rejection, doing the legwork of finding the right gallery, retail, or commercial partners, and always, ALWAYS exploring new directions for your creative voice.
