The Alpharetta and Old Milton County Historical Society and the City of Alpharetta cordially invite you to an opening reception for an exhibition, Bailey-Johnson School & Community Exhibit.
Publicly displayed for the first time, this exhibition is a sampling of historical photographs from Alpharetta’s Archival Photo Collection about the community surrounding the Bailey-Johnson School, the only school for black students in this are providing a high school education in the 1950s and 1960s. Families from north Fulton County sent their children to this school, creating a close community supporting students. From the private collections of local families and alumni, these photos give us a glimpse of Alpharetta’s past.
Light food and beverage served. Live music and free to public.
The exhibit will be on display from February 10 through April 18, 2025.
