The Alpharetta Fire Marshal’s Office completes annual fire and life safety inspections for all business occupancies and multi-residential properties.  This ensures a high standard of safety practices and that fire and life safety code is always in compliance.  Non-compliance may result in re-inspection fees or further legal action. 


How do I ensure I am compliant?

All annual inspections of fire and life safety systems must always be in compliance.  This means inspections are current and no deficiencies are noted by the vendor.  You may find a guide below for what the fire inspector will look at during your annual inspection.

How can I make the inspection more efficient?

An easy way to make the inspection more efficient is to maintain a fire and life safety log.  This log should include copies of all annual inspections of fire and life safety systems.  You may also complete and fill out the following documents to maintain in the log or to submit to the Alpharetta Fire Marshal’s Office.

When is my annual inspection? 

The Alpharetta Fire Marshal’s Office strives to complete an annual inspection of every occupant in the city at regular intervals.
