Daily Lane Closure on State Route 9 Through March 30

One northbound lane of State Route 9 will be closed between North Broad Street and Church Street between the hours of 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM starting Thursday, February 23. The closure will be in effect daily through Thursday, March 30.
The closure is necessary as contractors working for Atlanta Gas Light relocate a gas main at the corner of State Route 9 and Academy Street.
Motorists are strongly urged to use alternative routes to avoid the area if possible. Those who choose to drive through the area are reminded to slow down and watch closely for workers and equipment in and around the construction zone.
