2021 TSPLOST Referendum
Communities are alive; constantly evolving with changing opportunities, needs, and, yes, challenges.  To ensure that Alpharetta remains a successful, vibrant place for residents and businesses to thrive and enjoy an amazing quality of life, the City is always looking to the future and considering a variety of projects to improve transportation.  That effort never stops, even while we have hundreds of millions of dollars in projects under design or construction.

During the November 2021 election voters across Fulton County will be asked to decide if they want to continue funding local transportation projects through collection of a 3/4 of a penny sales tax known as TSPLOST or Transportation Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax.  If approved by voters, the TSPLOST would be effective April 2022 to March 2027.

TSPLOST proceeds would be distributed to Fulton County and its cities (excluding Atlanta) based on resident population.  Based on current projections, it is estimated that the 2021 TSPLOST would generate $61 Million to fund transportation improvements in Alpharetta.  County-wide, it is estimated that the 2021 TSPLOST would generate $545 Million to be invested in transportation projects.

So, what specific transportation improvement projects would the 2021 TSPLOST fund if voters approve it?  Click on the links below to learn more about the projects currently being proposed.
