Afterschool Fun Stop – A Parent’s Best Friend

GRADES:          K-6

TIME:                2:30 – 6:30PM

LOCATION:     Alpharetta Recreation Center

START DATE:  August 24th

Cost:                  $10/day – Alpharetta Resident

                           $15/day – Non-Resident

 

Do you have virtual school at home covered? Have you created a learning pod or a neighborhood group for your kids? Bring them all to the FUN STOP after school and gain a few hours to tackle life! This program is intended to be flexible support for families. Don’t get locked into a week long program when you don’t need it. Pre-registration is required but create the a la carte schedule that works for you. Kids will be engaged in organized outdoor/indoor sports and activities so they can have fun, move around and get some fresh air after a day of learning. Alpharetta R.E.C- Recreation Enrichment Center

GRADES:        7 & 8 only

TIME:              7am – 6pm

LOCATION:     Alpharetta Community Center

START DATE:  August 24th

Cost:               $150/week – Alpharetta Resident

                        $225/week – Non-Resident

 

Don’t want to leave your middle school age children home all day? Will they get their work done? Will they stay awake? Will they feed themselves? Let us help!  7th & 8th graders will be given their own daily work space (safely distanced) for them to navigate their digital learning for the school day (8am – 4pm approx.). Students will have adult supervision in small  groups with a 15:1 ratio. Children will need to bring their own digital device and power cords (wi-fi is provided), all physical supplies for assignments and their own snacks, lunch and water. Breaks will be given throughout the day consistent with school schedules and as needed. Supervised indoor /outdoor games and sports or other leisure activities will be provided after school hours.

Gymnastics Fun-Cational Recess

AGES:                 4-11

TIME:                 11:am – 3pm

LOCATION:      Alpharetta Community Center

COST:               $44/Day – Resident / $66/Day – Non-Resident

Does the new school year have your worried about how you will achieve a healthy balance between remote learning at home, recreational time for your children and accomplishing your job or daily tasks? Alpharetta Gymnastics has you covered with the opportunity to enroll in individual four-hour gymnastics camps on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 11am-3pm. You choose how many days a week your child attends and how often. Just think of all the things you can accomplish in four hours while your child is safe, engaged and learning new skills. With a small ratio of 6:1, the focus will be on having fun, helping students complete learning assignments (paper copies only), exercising their mind with some educational exercises, getting active, and socializing with peers in a small group setting all while keeping safety as our number one priority. Dancing & Learning

AGES:             3.5 – 9 (options vary by age)

Do you have a little one at home that loves to dance and is eager to learn new things? If the answer is YES this is the camp for them. During this four-hour camp your child will explore movement, creative play, expressive language with circle time, and develop social skills in a group setting. This camp will allow your child to experience independence in a safe and nurturing environment. Campers will be given supervised time to work on paper distance learning packets. Ed Isakson/Alpharetta Family YMCA - Y Campus Connection: Virtual Learning Support Program

 

Connecting Kids with learning in a fun environment

GRADES: K-6 only

TIME: 7:00am-6:30pm

DAYS: Monday-Friday

LOCATIONS: In partnership with the City of Alpharetta - Ed Isakson/Alpharetta Family YMCA, Alpharetta Arts Center and Alpharetta Adult Activity Center

COST:    $44/Day

 

At Y Campus Connection, students in Kindergarten through sixth grade will be supported in completing their remote learning while also staying active and enjoying fun activities throughout the day, and after their virtual school day is complete.  The day begins at 8:00 am and ends at 4:00 pm, with before and after-care available beginning at 7:00 am and until 6:30 pm, if needed at no additional cost to families. Staff will assist students in logging on and connecting to their school programs using their own laptop or device, assist with questions during remote learning, and help to keep students on track as they connect with their teachers online. During class breaks and after schoolwork is completed, the Y team will get students up and moving in fun and creative ways to keep them engaged and active.
