The City of Alpharetta offers more than 780 acres of existing park space divided over 13 parks, and we have acquired more than 18 additional acres this year that will be used to create several new small, passive parks. While the City is proud of our parks system, however, we also recognize that Windward Soccer Park is underutilized and no longer meets the needs of Alpharetta residents.
An effort is now underway to remake Windward Soccer Park into a fun, energized space that will better attract and serve residents, and Alpharetta citizens are being asked and encouraged to help redesign the park. Involvement is as easy as communicating your preferences via email, taking a brief online survey, or both.
Working with our design consultants, Pond and Company, the City has created three separate concept designs for what the future Windward Soccer Park could be. Alpharetta residents are being asked to rate each concept and also to share their hopes for the future of the park by taking the survey. The online survey can be found at
https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/K9C5NPY.
Residents may also send comments via email to
lgurganus@alpharetta.ga.us.
All survey responses and emails must be received by Saturday, July 22.
