Get creative with making fitness changes in your life! Choose an energizing fitness activity offered by Alpharetta Recreation and Parks starting in September:

Aerobic Fitness includes step training for cardio, followed by PYW (Pilates, yoga, weight training). Class is 60-minutes, with a shorter workout available by selecting 30-minutes of PYW. Classes offered morning or evening, weekday or weekend. New sessions for adults start the week of September 5 at Wills Park Recreation Center, 678-297-6130

Yoga improves posture, relaxes the mind, and is a great core workout. Morning and evening sessions for adults start September 5 at Crabapple Government Center, 678-297-6160

Hula-Hoop Fitness is a fun, aerobic way to strengthen the whole body, improve balance, coordination, and flexibility. Learn foundations of hooping, then add tricks and techniques. Laugh, dance, and move to get fit! Saturday, 8am. Eight-week session starts September 9 at Wills Park Recreation Center, 678-297-6130

Futon to 5K is a proven training schedule used to build to a 30-minute run after ten weeks. All fitness levels welcome to train for first or fiftieth 5K! Evening or weekend schedule starts September 11 at Alpharetta Community Center, running on Wills Park trail. 678-297-6153

Shotokan Karate tones the body, develops composure, increases self-confidence, and heightens awareness to avoid dangerous situations. Instructor Daryl D. Adams is a 5th Degree Black Belt. Evening and weekend classes for adults; evening classes for youth. New sessions begin September 25 at Wills Park Recreation Center, 678-297-6130
