Get Fit With Alpharetta Recreation And Parks

Get creative with making fitness changes in your life! Choose an energizing fitness activity offered by Alpharetta Recreation and Parks:


Futon to 5K is a proven training schedule used to build to a 30-minute run after ten weeks. All fitness levels welcome to train on the Wills Park trail for your first or fiftieth 5K! Meet at the pavilion on event lawn behind Alpharetta Community Center. Evening or weekend schedules start February 26 on Mondays 5:30-6:30pm, and Saturdays 7:30am-8:30am. Cost: $30 residents, $45 non-residents.

Walk to a Healthier You is geared for all fitness levels and incorporates walking, light weight-bearing exercises, and basic nutrition information to improve health, increase stamina, and assist in facilitating weight loss. Be prepared to feel better! Meet in the Webb Zone parking lot to walk the trail at Webb Bridge Park. Morning or weekend schedules start February 27 on Tuesdays/Thursdays 9:30-11:00am, and Saturdays 9:00am-10:30am. Cost: $40 residents, $60 non- residents.

Yoga improves posture, relaxes the mind, and is a great core workout. Discover how to fit five minutes into a day to improve overall health by blending the ancient art of yoga with modern exercise science. Morning and evening sessions start March 6 on Tuesdays 7:00-8:30pm or Wednesdays 9:30-11:00am at the Crabapple Government Center. Cost: $60 residents, $90 non-residents.
