Fun With Food For Homeschoolers

Released March 23, 2018 07:57 AM

Homeschoolers, it’s okay to play with your food…while you experiment, cut, assemble, and cook it too! Discover healthy-eating habits, develop food appreciation, and learn about kitchen safety, nutrition and beauty. Have fun integrating math, science, and art into tasting new foods (vegan, vegetarian).

Four-week session for ages 6-13 is offered by Alpharetta Recreation, Parks and Cultural Services, and led by Chef Sue Snape with Leaf and Loaf, LLC. Classes are held on Fridays from 10am-11:30am on April 6 – 27 at the Crabapple Government Center, 12624 Broadwell Road. Cost is $80 for residents, $120 for non-residents, plus $20 supply fee payable to the instructor to cover food costs and containers.
