Every Child’s An Artist This Spring

Young artists get creative with enrichment programs offered this spring by Alpharetta Recreation, Parks and Cultural Services:

Create with Me lets little ones discover fun in creating themed art projects together with a parent. Tuesdays, 9:45am-10:45am. Four-week sessions for ages 2-5 start on April 10 and May 8.

 

Mini-Art School teaches how to transform acrylic, fabric, sand, canvas, and other materials into a piece of beautiful art. Thursdays, 4pm-5pm. Six-week session for ages 6-9 starts April 19.

Creative Playground leads little artists to create a special piece of art each month with parent participation. For ages 3-5, from 10:30am-11:30am on Thursday, April 19 and again on May 10.

Creative Claywork lets young sculptors enjoy working with clay to create whimsical projects or decorative pieces. Tuesdays, 4pm-5:30pm. Eight-week session for ages 6-12 starts May 15.

Teen Drawing, Mixed Media, Portfolio Class is designed to assist students in building a body of work to incorporate into a portfolio, using hands-on instruction, demos and diverse media. Mondays, 5:30pm-7:30pm. Six-week session for ages 12+ starts April 23.

Cartoon Class develops young cartoonist skills by learning to draw exaggerated facial features, illustrate movement or sound effects, and create silly animated characters. Tuesdays, 4:15pm-5:30pm. Eight-week session for ages 6-10 starts May 8.

Artz for the Harp uses child-friendly instruments to create music and play in ensemble setting. For beginning level musicians ages 6-12. Thursdays, 4pm-5pm. Multi-week session starts May 17.
