There is a lot of gardening information out there, but can you trust that it will work for your gardening issues? A free workshop being held on May 1 will help you weed through common myths to find the facts that will help your garden grow. The class, taught by the North Fulton Master Gardeners, will be held from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM at Alpharetta City Hall, which is located at 2 Park Plaza.
While the class is free, preregistration is required and must be done by March 27 online at
www.eventbrite.com/e/gardening-myths-tickets-56143598013 or by calling 678-297-6200.
Being offered for the first time, the program explores gardening practices passed down from generations and that many have followed for years. Which are misconceptions? Are garden products on the store shelf verified by scientific fact? Do home remedies for soil amendments and pest control really work? How do mulches affect the soil and which are best for urban gardens? The answers may surprise you.
