Section Of AlphaLoop To Close For Two Weeks

Released December 23, 2020 12:46 PM
The City of Alpharetta will close a section of its popular AlphaLoop for two weeks beginning January 4 to allow for the installation of stormwater drainage systems necessary because of development and construction.  The impacted section runs from Haynes Bridge Road to Park Street.

While the closure remains in effect the impacted section of the AlphaLoop will not be available for any public use.

“While closure of this small section of the AlphaLoop is unavoidable as the stormwater improvements are made, we have scheduled the work to occur in January when the weather naturally reduces the number of people wanting to use the amenity,” said Kathi Cook, Alpharetta’s Director of Community Development.  “We appreciate everyone’s patience while this important work is done.”

The City anticipates reopening the AlphaLoop section by January 20, but the public is advised that weather will influence the ability of contractors to perform the work and alter the actual opening date.
