Taste of Alpharetta Is A Rain or Shine Event - Come Join Us!

Taste of Alpharetta has become an annual tradition for festival goers, families and food connoisseurs. Mark your calendars to dine in Downtown Alpharetta at over 60 restaurants in one fun night. Sample delicious appetizers, entrees and desserts from the top chefs in town. Enjoy culinary demonstrations, activities for all ages and entertainment to please every palate. Admission is free, you may purchase food tickets on site at our ticket booths for $.50 each. Restaurants participating in the Taste of Alpharetta will not accept cash (tickets only). Restaurants charge $1-4 per food sample.

Taste of Alpharetta is dedicated to the many facets of the local food system, including local restaurants, growers and producers, educators, distributors, innovators, and food rescuers.

Each City of Alpharetta special event has a main focus, and the non-profit partners who have on-site presence at the event will have a mission that aligns with the main focus of the City of Alpharetta special event. For example, if the event’s main focus is music, all partners’ mission and focus will be related to music. If an organization does not fit the main focus of the event, but wants to have onsite presence at the event, their option would be to become a sponsor of the event.

This year's event will feature multiple music vignettes throughout the streets of Downtown and feature a variety of music genres. A Culinary Competition Stage will pair top area chefs against one another in five categories – Best Appetizer/Salad, Best Fast Casual, Best Fine Dining, Best Presentation and Best Dessert. Award winners are presented at approximately 8:30 p.m. Vote for the People’s Choice Award at the Culinary Competition Stage prior to 7:00 p.m. Come out and enjoy Alpharetta’s premier dining experience!

Bike Valet Service provided by our partner BikeAlpharetta

We encourage festival attendees to leave the car at home this year and BIKE! Our generous partner, BikeAlpharetta, will be providing a COMPLIMENTARY Bike Valet during the hours of the event. Not only is this a wise environmental decision to make but it will also cut down on event traffic and give everyone an opportunity to burn off all the yummy tastes from the evening! PARKING & SHUTTLE BUSES

The Taste of Alpharetta is located in Downtown Alpharetta across from Alpharetta City Hall (2 Park Plaza). Free parking and shuttle system available. Please see the event map for more details.

 

PARK & WALK 

City Hall Parking Deck (2 Park Plaza)

Moving south on Hwy 9,  make a left on Cumming St., right on Cricket Ln., then right on Park Plaza.  If you are traveling west on Old Milton Pkwy, take a right onto Haynes Bridge Rd, followed by a left onto Park Plaza.

 

PARK & RIDE (SHUTTLE SERVICE)

Arriving and leaving the event, shuttles drop off and/or pick up on the corner of Roswell and Marietta Street approximately every 20 minutes from 5-10 pm.

Parking locations with shuttle service include the following:

1- Wills Park at Wacky World (on Old Milton Parkway to the right of the Alpharetta City Pool)

2- Wills Park Equestrian Center (at 11915 Wills Road, Alpharetta, GA 30009)

 

 

HANDICAP PARKING OPTIONS

1- Park & Walk: Wells Fargo, at 21 N. Main St, Alpharetta, GA 30009   Handicap parking sign will be visible from the street.


2- Park & Ride (Shuttle Service):
All shuttle routes will have a handicap accessible bus rotating for pick-up and/or drop-off approximately every 20 minutes from 5-10pm. If you would like to park with close and level access directly on the event site, please use the reserved handicap parking lot at Wells Fargo, at 21 N. Main St, Alpharetta, GA 30009.

(Any vehicle left on the street after 5 AM on May 2 will be towed at the owner’s expense) 

MILTON AVENUE 
Milton Ave from Main Street to Teasley Place (Located just west of Roswell Street) – Will be completely closed. Milton Ave from Wills Road to Teasley Place – Only residence and event parking permitted.

OLD ROSWELL STREET 
Old Roswell Street – Will be completely closed.

OLD CANTON STREET 
Old Canton Street – Will be completely closed.

ROSWELL STREET – road closure beginning at 7:30 am 
Roswell Street from Old Milton Parkway to Milton Avenue – Will be completely closed.

CANTON STREET – road closure beginning at 7:30 am 
Canton Street from School Drive to Milton Ave – Will be completely closed. Canton Street from Mayfield Road to School Drive – Only residence and event parking permitted.

ACADEMY STREET (NEW) – road closure beginning at 4:00 pm until 11:00 pm 
Academy Street from Haynes Bridge to SR 9 – Will be completely closed. 

NORTH & SOUTH BROAD STREET (NEW)  – road closure beginning at 4:00 pm until 11:00 pm 
North & South Broad Street from SR9 to Market St – Will be completely closed.
