Summer Camp And Program Registration Opens February 28

Released February 15, 2024 01:13 PM
  • The first day of Spring may still be a month away, but fun is about to bloom in Alpharetta.  Registration for our popular summer camps and recreation programs opens at 8:00 AM on February 28 for Alpharetta residents.

Non-resident registration opens on the morning of March 13.

For those wanting to get a head start on planning their summer activities, our 2024 Summer Guide is available online and absolutely stuffed full of healthy activities, fun diversions, and ways to expand your cultural palette.  We recommend perusing it now so you have your list ready and can quickly register for the camps and programs you want.  Our popular summer programs fill quickly, so you will want to be ready to sign up when registration opens.

A link to the 2024 Summer Guide can be found below, and printed copies have begun popping up in our recreation facilities.

If you are interested in our summer camps, we have additional resources available online to help you decide which are the perfect fit.  Please follow the “Summer Camps Info” link at the bottom of this page to access detailed camp descriptions, special requirements for some camps, and additional information on registering.

For those who are new to our programs and our ActiveNet registration portal, here are a few tips that will help you navigate it all like an old pro:

    • Log in (or sign up) on ActiveNet early as classes tend to fill up quickly.
  • • If a desired class reaches full capacity, consider joining the waitlist for an opportunity to enroll. (Please note: Waitlist and Wishlist are different)

    • To ensure accuracy, use the Activity Number listed in the Summer Guide when searching for classes in the ActiveNet portal

    • If you need to verify your residency status, we recommend using the Alpharetta GIS Mapping Tool to do that before you try to register for programs or camps.
If you have questions or need additional information, our Recreation, Parks, and Cultural Services Department is ready to assist.  Please contact them at or 678-297-6100.
