Progress Update- March 2021

Recently, the installation of stone and brick veneer on retaining wall 3, on the east side of the Rock Mill Park entrance, is complete. The driveway installation at Fire Station 86 has been completed.  The tie in to the Greenway at Fire Station 86 is complete, except for the handrail installation. Construction of retaining wall 4, at the southwest corner of the roundabout  is complete, except the stone veneer installation. The panels on the retaining wall 7 have been installed, between Fire Station 86 and Saehan Church. 

Currently, utility relocations, storm drainage installation, grading, curb and gutter installation and sidewalk installation are ongoing. The conduit for the traffic signal interconnect system and lighting are being installed. Light poles are being installed. Construction of the road widening is ongoing on the north side of Kimball Bridge Road from Rock Mill Park to North Point Parkway and at the corners of the roundabout. The construction of  wall 7, between Fire Station 86 and Saehan Church, is ongoing. 

Upcoming work will include the completion of stone veneer on wall 8, near the intersection of Waters Road. The completion of the Greenway tie in to Sterling Brooke Subdivision. The completion of construction on retaining wall 9, at Greenway tie in on the west side of the bridge. Storm drainage installation should be completed, along with the road widening on the North side of Kimball Bridge Road from Rock Mill Park to North Point Parkway. 

Heavy traffic delays due to construction should continue to be expected.
