Water Quality Monitoring

The City collects and analyzes over 450 water quality samples from our streams each year.  We test and evaluate temperature, dissolved oxygen, pH, and levels of chemicals and bacteria in the water.  When an abnormal reading is obtained, we investigate possible sources of pollution such as broken sewer pipes, failing septic system, or illegal dumping.  For sewer and septic issues the City works with property owners and Fulton County to get the issue resolved.

If you have questions about the water quality in the city, please contact our Senior Water Resources Analyst at Public Works at 678-297-6200.

If you have an issue to report the city has 2 options in place for our residents:

Residents and Businesses are invited to report drainage, maintenance, or flooding issues to the City through See Click Fix.  (
